Top Tips For Running A Pr And Influencer Event

It’s been a busy few months at Elevate PR with the planning and execution of multiple events.

At the start of the year, we hosted our own Future of Retail event at The Dean Hotel in Dublin. In February, we looked after the Reimagine Spring showcase at Kildare Village, which heroed Value Retail’s support for rising designer Michael Stewart of Standing Ground.

March was all about Elton at Kildare Village with the launch of Elton John Pops Up!, we worked with stylist and journalist, Grace Cahill to launch her new business, Styled with Grace, and on the launch of the 2023 garden collection from Danish interiors brand, JYSK, at the Iveagh Garden Hotel.

April saw our Regatta team host media and influencers at The Alex Hotel for the launch of the S/S Orla Kiely collection, showcasing the great outdoors brand’s latest items, as well as supporting Design & Crafts Council Ireland on an awards ceremony to announce this year’s Irish Business Design Challenge winners. While the start of this month saw us working on the relaunch of The Harcourt Bar & Garden on Harcourt Street.

Our top tips for a running a PR and influencer event are:

  1. Document everything: It’s important to have a paper trail when contacting suppliers to make sure everyone knows what they’re doing. Planning documents like running orders, event documents, running budgets and briefs make everything easier on the day of the event.
  2. Have an interactive element: There are lots of competing events taking place, so it’s important to think of new ways to stand out and attract people to attend yours! At recent events, we’ve had live drawings from Linda Byrne, caricatures by Conor Merriman, as well as product engraving by Liz Holsworth.
  3. Don’t forget about sustainability: Attendees are becoming more eco-conscious, and events need to reflect that. Whether it’s using recyclable materials or cutting back on paper printing and physical gifting, there are many ways to incorporate sustainability into press events.
