Italian beer brand Peroni has just launched its first alcohol-free beer, Peroni Libera 0.0%. Meaning ‘free’ in Italian, Peroni Libera gives you the freedom and choice to opt for a 0% beer with a touch of Italian style. To celebrate, Peroni is hosting a series of stylish, alcohol-free, monthly social events this summer, the Peroni Libera Series, where you can enjoy relaxed get-togethers with old friends, or meet new friends.
The second event in the series is Sip and Supper, which takes place in Clanbrassil House this Sunday, 30th June. Clanbrassil House’s celebrated young head chef, Grainne O’Keefe, will cook up a menu of Italian-inspired dishes, all served family style, and perfectly paired with the rich and intense flavour of citrusy hops in Peroni Libera.
On arrival at Clanbrassil House guests will sip on a delicious cold Peroni Libera and enjoy smoked almonds served with lardo toast, preserved lemon and crispy capers. For starters, guests can delve into Grainne’s family style sharing plate which includes burrata and smoked beetroot in a pickled walnut dressing, grilled squid served with salsa verde, olives and picked wild garlic, and Parmesan custard with radishes dressed in a smoked olive oil. These starters will be dished up alongside a specially created Peroni Libera infusion, Libera Lungo, which was developed by Peroni’s global master of mixology, Simone Caporale.
Then it is onto the second course of the evening, a sharing pasta dish of tagliatelle with crab, sweetcorn, courgette and percorino, before the main course is served – slow cooked beef, which has been braised in Peroni for 12 hours accompanied by soft polenta, gremolata and a heritage tomato sauce. Dessert is a vanilla panna cotta, served with Peroni Ambra macerated strawberries and balsamic vinegar.
Tickets for Sip and Supper in Clanbrassil House, 6 Clanbrassil Street Upper, Dublin 8, are priced at €60 and are available now from thehouseofperoni.com.
