Serial entrepreneur, Nicki Hoyne, has created a chic, fun and accessible luxury handbag collection, designed with a conscience. The Nicki Hoyne Collection debuts with six statement cross body camera bags that celebrate individuality, colour, vibrancy and showcase her passion for well-made, slow fashion products.
Inspired by her love of statement pieces, the collection consists of striking patterns and bold hues. The Nicki Hoyne Collection is designed by Nicki in Ireland and made in Spain by master craftspeople. The materials are ethically sourced within Europe, as close as possible to the factory. The unique handbags are targeted at those seeking quality, modern accessories made in a conscious way.
The collection consists of six standout camera-bag style handbags, available in bold colourways – vibrant red, leopard print, dark green croc, blue croc, blue pony skin with a black dot, and mint pony skin with a black polka dot. The collection contrasts to the tradition of a theme or colour throughout a collection. Each bag is intended to clash yet it’s simple lines and classic shape make them work together. From the standout textured polka dot pony hair to statement croc, or the classic pop of red, there is something for everyone.
Each of the handbags is lined with recycled cotton, printed with the Nicki Hoyne Collection statement bold red and pink branding and is made from butter soft leather, a conscious decision to ensure the collection is as biodegradable as possible. Nicki Hoyne is working to become a fully sustainable brand, ensuring that all suppliers and processes are as sustainable as possible and using minimum, biodegradable packaging.
‘In my previous business, My Shining Armour, I designed the Hero Handbag Collection, which was a huge success. I find it hard to buy quality, well-made bags with a sense of fun, which is why I have designed this collection,’ said Nicki, ‘Two years ago, I decided I really wanted to create a brand that was focused on beautiful, well-made piece that last a lifetime while having as little impact on our plant as possible. Since then, I have researched and investigated the best processed to create this brand and am delighted to finally be ready to launch. I am adding more products next year, but my focus is on creating a meaningful business as sustainably as possible.’
