Wondering how to occupy yourself and the kids this midterm? Discover a host of interactive events taking place at Kildare Village this month, celebrating the luxury shopping destination’s partnership with the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). Merging fashion and art, Kildare Village is the first fashion destination with partner with IMMA for its newest exhibition, Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age, which runs until Sunday, 22nd March 2020. During midterm break, Kildare Village will bring out all the art stops, as it hosts a week of art workshops for children, starting on Saturday 26 October. Enjoy and experience a range of fun workshops, events, talks and panel discussions, dedicated to all things fashion, art and culture for all ages taking place in Kildare Village.
Saturday 26 October – Friday 1 November
Inspired by works in IMMA’s newest exhibition, Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age, an art facilitator will guide children through a step by step workshop to create their own masterpiece – from a customized tote bag to a mask, a snowy scene to a collage! These drop in complimentary workshops will take place in the Village from 10.30am – 12.30pm each day.
Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November
Giddy Studios will lead a pottery painting workshop for children, allowing their imaginations to run wild! These drop in complimentary workshops will take place in the Village from 10.30am – 1pm on both days.
For all activities, children must be supervised at all times.
While the youngsters are busy creating their masterpieces, don’t miss the IMMA Pop up Shop at Kildare Village, where you will find limited edition prints, artworks and fun gifts, as well as new arrivals, such as a limited edition, Dorothy Cross scarf, Manes, Kiki Na Art’s unique pieces of handcrafted jewellery, Raawi’s collection of homewares, as well as much more.
Benefit Cosmetics and Lindt are the newest addition to the already impressive range of boutiques in Kildare Village including Maje, Sandro, The Kooples, The White Company, Diane von Furstenberg, Vans, Dune, Kurt Geiger, Reiss and many more.
