Howth Castle Cookery School, nestled within the historic walls of Howth Castle, is proud to unveil its newly transformed kitchen in an exciting collaboration with Gaggenau, the luxury German appliance brand. Combining centuries-old tradition with state-of-the-art technology, the new kitchen will transform the culinary experience for all participants.
The new kitchen features cutting-edge technology, including precision-engineered ovens and induction hobs, providing students with the tools to enhance their cooking skills. The 30-foot-high cupola, dating back to 1750, remains a breathtaking architectural feature, serving as the heart of this modern culinary hub while preserving the castle’s timeless elegance. These innovative additions allow for an elevated culinary experience while preserving the castle’s timeless charm.
Professionally trained chef Sarah Hughes and fine-dining expert John Carty, the school’s resident chefs, are thrilled with the transformation. Hughes said “we’ve always strived to inspire our students, but with the addition of Gaggenau’s advanced technology, we’re taking our classes to a whole new level. It’s a privilege to showcase how modern appliances can work seamlessly in a historic kitchen.”
Carty added, “Appliances are the heart of a cooking school, so we knew that we needed the best and Gaggenau’s appliances allow us to deliver exceptional results. The integration of this cutting-edge technology into our historic space reflects our commitment to blending tradition and innovation.”
