Schweppes 1783 At The Big Grill

Born in 1783 and crafted for today, Schweppes 1783 is the official tonic partner of The Big Grill 2018 which opens today in Herbert Park, Dublin. The range, which was created in partnership with some of the world’s most acclaimed mixologists, consists of five unique flavours made with 100% natural ingredients. The flavour combinations are designed to be paired with the finest white and dark spirits. They include Cucumber Tonic Water, Salty Lemon Tonic Water, Crisp Tonic Water, Light Tonic Water and Ginger Ale.

The 1783 Alchemy Bar is located at the heart of the Big Grill festival, where expert mixologists will be serving up delicious, handcrafted cocktails including faovurites like Tom Collins, Margarita Fizz, Zingy Vodka and Tonic, and The Ultimate Gin and Tonic. The bar brings to life the alchemy of 1783, the year that pioneering Jacob Schweppe created the first carbonated tonic water in the world.

The Big Grill is Europe’s largest BBQ festival and returns for its fifth year from 16th – 19th August 2018 in Herbert Park, Dublin 4. The festival celebrates the art of cooking with fire and smoke, bringing chefs, cooks and pitmasters from Ireland, UK and further afield together with over 20,000 visitors to smell, taste, discover and learn about all kinds of barbecuing, grilling, smoking, vegetables, meats, delicacies and drinks. This year’s fire-filled line up, curated by pitmaster & festival co-founder Andy Noonan, boasts over 20 restaurants and has a distinct international street food vibe with New York, London and Buenos Aires all represented, making it the perfect stage to celebrate Schweppes’ new flavour filled range of 1783 mixers.
