Offset 2015 & Dmx Dublin

We have had a busy week with Offset and DMX.

Main takeaway is that the marketing world is a complex one these days, check out the infographic below from chiefmartec.com, showing that there are almost 2,000 technology products on the market for marketers now. Chris Maples cautioned against getting distracted by shamans.

Other learnings include that inbound marketing (e-zines, blog posts etc) has a much higher success rate for online selling, with social media generating a shockingly low 2% of sales on average. We still value social for awareness and engagement, of course.

The world of organic reach for Facebook is over and it is a pay to play space now. Twitter is looking to launch an algorithm soon, which will have a similar impact.

Content marketing, mobile first and personalisation (Amazon is leading in this area) were buzzwords at DMX.

The Swedish takeover at Offset was enlightened, with our highlight the agency behind this campaign from Volvo Trucks.

The lovely Chrissie MacDonald also impressed with her 3D paper work.

Barber & Osgerby were a joy and you can check out their show as part of our client Irish Design 2015’s In The Making Exhibition on now at The Coach House, Dublin Castle.
