Moët Party Day 2016

Moët & Chandon Lights Up The Night with Global #MoetPartyDay

On Saturday, June 11, 2016, the world’s most-loved champagne brought its first edition of Moët Party Day to life. This single, extraordinary day, was filled with celebration and #moetmoments around the globe. The Irish edition presented an unrivalled party experience, as VIP guests travelled to three of Dublin’s top venues and enjoyed a unique party moment at each, with the help of influencers Vogue Williams, Roz Purcell, James Kavanagh and James Patrice as host for the evening.

Guests on the night were treated to a VIP experience like no other, with celebrations commencing at The Black Door with a Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut reception. Host, James Patrice, encouraged guests to join people from New Zealand to Mexico as they raised a toast around the world for Moët Party Day! Guests enjoyed delicious food pairings created by James Kavanagh and William Murray of Currabinny, while the foodie duo spoke through the bespoke recipes with Moët & Chandon sommelier, Julie Dupouy.

The party then moved on to Café en Seine where guests enjoyed delicious French sweet treats created by Cake Face Pastry and party-ready mini Moët & Chandon bottles. Author and top model, Roz Purcell recreated the milestone in the history of savoir-fête or Moët & Chandon’s savoir-faire when it comes to celebration – the champagne spray! Speaking on the significance of celebrating Moët Party Day on the 11th June, Roz described how on that day in 1967, “the celebratory champagne spray was born at the 24-hour Le Mans race in France when American driver

and winner Dan Gurney did something unexpected when he was handed a Jeroboam bottle of Moët & Chandon on the podium: he sprayed champagne over the crowd! And just like that, a joyous new celebration was born.” Roz then recreated the Moët & Chandon champagne spray and guests were showered by a pop of ceiling high confetti and balloons!

Celebrity DJ, Vogue Williams then took to the decks at Lillie’s Bordello to spin a special Moët Party Day playlist, as guests posed for pictures at the #MoëtPartyDay selfie mirror with party props and confetti pops! The party raised a glass of Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial as the night turned pink to celebrate the closing of an amazing celebration!
