Michie Restaurant Opens In The Ifsc

Dublin based Japanese Restaurant Michie has opened a new, two storey, 40 seater restaurant overlooking Georges Dock in the IFSC, located near the CHQ building.

Renowned for its fresh sushi, which is made to order, award winning Michie Sushi was set up in 2007 by proprietors Michel Piare and Anna van Exel. Established in Ranelagh as a small takeaway and catering business, Michie’s reputation for superior quality sushi and excellent service, quickly spread and they now have 4 restaurant locations in Ranelagh, Dun Laoghaire, Sandyford and IFSC and two Sushi Bars in Avoca Rathcoole and Avoca Kilmacanougue, with plans for further expansion and job creation.

The elegant interior features cream leather seating, a parquet floor, iroko wood and subtle accents of grey with bolts of red and neon, with bespoke art work by Ann Kavanagh. With a large open kitchen and views across the water, Michie has created a modern and elegant dining room aimed squarely at the discerning customer in the IFSC.

The ground floor serves freshly made ‘Grab and Go’ sushi, salad and bento or hot food made to order. Michie also offer pastries, Japanese pancakes and a range of juices and as in the Sandyford restaurant, coffee is supplied by Nick’s Coffee Company of Ranelagh.

For reservations just pop in, telephone 01 649 1965, email ifsc@michiesushi.com or visit their website where all menus are available.
