Keep Your Pets Safe In The Sun With Village Vets

Ireland has seen unprecedented weather of late, with temperatures hitting a record breaking 31 degrees, but as the barbeques burn, the sunscreen lathers and the beaches buzz, Village Vets, has unfortunately seen a huge number of heat stroke and heat related cases in animals. To aid prevention and to educate owners, Village Vets is hosting free first aid information classes, running from Monday, 2nd July – Thursday, 5th July in select areas of Co. Dublin and Co. Meath. Visit www.villagevets.ie for full details.

The classes will help pet owners recognise the signs of heat stress and heat stroke, along with offering advice on how best to treat it.  The events will be held in select local parks throughout both counties and each session will last approximately 30 minutes, taking place in the evening, as to reduce the possibility of heat stress on pets.

  • 8pm Dunshaughlin Park near the entrance to the playground.
