The House Of Peroni Presents: La Sagra

This week, Peroni Nastro Azzurro brings Italy’s best kept foodie secret to Ireland with a sagra food festival at Meeting House Square in Dublin on Thursday, 19th and Friday, 20th October. A sagra is a traditional Italian festival hosted annually across towns and villages in Italy to celebrate their regional produce.

The House of Peroni Presents: La Sagra will celebrate the Irish food producers creating authentic Italian food here in Ireland, including cheesemakers, Toons Bridge Dairy, and family charcuterie, The Wooded Pig. The event is open to the public on a first come, first served basis from 5pm on Thursday and 12pm on Friday, running until 10pm each night. General entry is free of charge.

Visitors can meet the food producers, hear their story and buy samples of their produce to take home. Peroni Nastro Azzurro will be served at the bar, and visitors can also order from a Sagra-inspired cicchetti (Italian small bites) menu, created by acclaimed Italian chef, Francesco Mazzei, and former World Young Chef of the Year, Mark Moriarty. There will also be a stall selling Italian essentials to take home, including olives, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes and olive oil. In addition, Dublin Pizza Company will bring its authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza to the Sagra celebration.
