Dais II Launches in association with Moët & Chandon and Wella

Ireland’s social and fashion elite turned out in force Tuesday evening for the launch of Dais II in association with the world’s leading champagne house Moët & Chandon and hair-care brand, Wella. The Dais Project is a trilogy of films created by Irish stylist Sonya Lennon and Swiss/Irish film-maker Christian Ammann.
Sonya welcomed guests in attendance including TV personalities, Brendan Courtney, Lorraine Keane and Aisling O’Loughlin along with fashion designers, Joanne Hynes and Claire O’Connor. Also enjoying the Moët & Chandon reception were Caroline Sleiman from Moët Hennessy, make-up artist Christina Luciano, Frederique Thoummany from Chanel, Ashling Kilduff owner of Design Centre, beauty journalist Triona McCarthy and fashion photographer, Barry McCall.
The Dais II project showcases the international success of Irish fashion designers though the medium of film. Born from an original concept by Sonya Lennon, the Dais films aim to build a chronicle of the best fashion designers of our time, both established and emerging. The first Dais film, which was launched last autumn, was critically acclaimed and lauded by the design community and fashion industry in Ireland. The film received international recognition as a work of significance and beauty and was selected for the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival, in Los Angeles where it was screened alongside films by Bruce Weber and Karl Lagerfeld. Dais II is now following in its footsteps as it also has been selected for the 2012 festival.
