Introducing Weekend Brunch @ VCC

VCC (Vintage Cocktail Club) on Crown Alley, Temple Bar has launched its new brunch menu with a great selection of dishes to suit all tastes, including eggs benedict (€10), fluffy American pancakes with maple syrup (€6), French toast with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs (€10) or the ultimate VCC brunch, which consists of colcannon cakes served with juicy tomatoes, cooked ham, fried eggs and mustard mayonnaise (€10).

VCC’s signature brunch accompaniment, ‘High Tea’ – a teapot of ‘VCC Bloody Mary’ created with a secret 16 ingredient homemade spice mix is also not to be missed. VCC Brunch is a great way to spend your weekend and is served every Saturday and Sunday from 12.00pm till 4.00pm.

Booking is advised, however, if you’re out and about and feeling peckish, you can always ring the VCC doorbell – the team always try their best to reserve space for those who like to make great decisions at the last minute!

World famous mariachi band “Mexivo Vive” takes centre stage in 777

Mexican restaurant 777 is proud to announce that the world famous Mariachi band “Mexico Vive”, will be playing live in the restaurant on Wednesday the 1st of August from 8.30pm. Mariachi is the best known form of traditional music from Mexico, so “Mexico Vive” is the perfect match for 777, Dublin’s authentic Mexican restaurant, which opened its doors last February. Admission is free on the night and will feature the usual delicious menu, featuring some of Mexico’s finest culinary delights.

The menu includes a wide range of traditional Mexican food including taquitos (a trio of tacos served on 4” soft corn tortillas), botanas (crisp tortillas) and classic tuna ceviche. The restaurants wood burning grill produces dishes such as the Pescado Entero, an authentic whole grilled fish served with anhiote, tortiallas and pickled Veracruz. For meat lovers, the braised beef short rib with smoke bacon, sweet camote and mole is a must. Sides available include Mexican style street corn, guesso pasilla, sautéed spinach and sweet yam.
