Art Lovers Flock To Gormley’s Fine Art

Featuring Andy Warhol – Banksy – Damien Hirst – Keith Haring – and more

Art lovers made their way to Gormley’s Fine Art, one of Ireland’s leading art galleries, on Thursday, 2nd March, for the opening of Contemporary Editions, an exhibition of iconic Pop Art, Street Art, Neo Pop, Young British Artists and Urban Art. The exhibition explores how contemporary art has developed from the 1950s to the present day, featuring important works by Andy Warhol, Banksy, Damien Hirst, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Robert Indiana, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Bambi.

Gormley’s Fine Art owner, Oliver Gormley, was in good company on the night with guests including X-Factor judge, Louis Walsh, contemporary Irish artist, Peter Monaghan, Dublin illustrator, Conor Merriman, top stylists, Brian Conway and Corina Gaffey and blogger, Leanne Woodfull, all of whom were there to preview the curated selection of 40 rare artworks, including nine pieces by Andy Warhol.

Contemporary Editions features limited edition, original screen prints – works which are rarely available to view in Ireland, let alone buy. The exhibition marks a new departure for Gormley’s Fine Art and will act as a launch pad for a wider programme of events showcasing the work of international blue chip artists. Works by Warhol, Hirst, Banksy, Haring, Koons and Bambi will be incorporated into the regular gallery programme.

The exhibition is open now and runs until Wednesday, 22nd March at Gormley’s, 27 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2. Entry is free and all work is available to purchase, with prices ranging from €2,000 to €190,000. For further information, visit www.gormleys.ie
