We launched the new Yantra Acupressure Mat from Lifes2good yesterday with a media event at The Conrad Hotel, Dublin.

As models Sarah Kavanagh and Nadia Forde got to grips with the mat for our photocall, Stress Management Consultant and Professional Mentor, Sarah Bird, held one-on-one sessions with key media to discuss stress management techniques. Each journalist got to trial the mat and experience the healing art of acupressure for themselves.

I attended the MDs meeting today of the Public Relations Consultants’ Association (PRCA) of which I am a board member.

Krishna De gave an excellent presentation to an audience of Managing Directors of leading Irish PR consultancies. She ran through the usual social media tools including blogs, Facebook, Twitter and Linked In. She has some good content on her website with regard to blogger engagement here

For those dipping their toes into social media she suggested to start off by listening to online conversations.

Beaut.ie Guide to Gorgeous

When it comes to blogging in Ireland Beaut.ie is a real pro. Following on from our recent post about bloggers being the new literati , we attended the launch of the their new book “The Beaut.ie Guide to Gorgeous” in Brown Thomas’s beauty hall on Saturday. It was mobbed – the Irish female is obviously clamouring for objective advice on what are the best beauty products. It is good fun read and would make an excellent Christmas gift.

We have noticed some exciting book deals for some of our favourite bloggers

Lauren Luke’s book on makeup is out now. This is the lady who has landed herself a big career in journalism through uploading her make up videos to YouTube.

We had lunch last week with the lovely Kirstie from Ireland’s leading beauty blog – Beaut.ie, they are launching their own book at Brown Thomas on Saturday.
